Chamba: The Hill Station Of Temples

chamunda_devi_chamba Chamba was founded in the sixth century and is known to be the oldest princely state in India. It is located on the right of the River Ravi. Situated amidst a breathtaking valley and circled by the lofty Shivalik ranges, Chamba offers peace to the mind and serenity to the soul. This town is well known for its medieval temples as well as Chaugan, a common promenade. The architecture of this city still reflects the artful penchant of its older leaders or rulers.
