Subramanya is the spiritual center in a place known as Sullia Taluk located in South Kanara District. The Kanara District is located in Karnataka. Subramanya is a very small village situated deep inside the forests side lining the Western Ghats approximately one hundred and five kilometers from Mangalore. This place is known to be the home of Lord Shiva’s son Subramanya. The Kukke Sunrahmanya Temple is situated in the citer of the village here.
