Chandra Taal literally means Moon Lake. It is located at a height of approximately four thousand and three hundred meters in Himachal Pradesh. Mountains of sloping mass of loose rocks at the base of a cliff surround the lake from one side and a heavenly corrie on the other side. The lake is called moon lake because of its crescent shape. The Chandra Taal lake is located in the Spiti Valley in Himachal Pradesh. It is a favored destination for campers and hikers. It is possible to visit the lake on foot from May to August.
